Training Description
This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of family literacy, and provide family literacy strategies and best practices that can be used to help schools and programs enhance parent involvement. Effective communication techniques and Strengths-Based relationship building approaches will be shared to help schools and programs build strong parent involvement plans. Workshop content covers Joyce Epstein's Six Levels of Parent Involvement, and provides methods parents can use to support their children’s education and school. Parent involvement policies and approaches used by different programs will be explored.

This is a free workshop. Materials and lunch will be provided. Any cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the workshop or a fee of $100 to cover materials will be assessed.
