LIFT is utilizing its experience and expertise to provide quality local and state Even Start evaluation services is Kentucky. LIFT has provided similar services to the state of Missouri for several years, and understands how the Even Start model works within a wide array of local program settings and how those various programs affect the broader picture of family literacy at the state level. LIFT's track record includes extensive and sustained collaborative efforts among a wide range of state agencies and organizations around family literacy issues. In particular, LIFT has been at the forefront of utilizing innovative evaluation techniques to not only improve accountability of Even Start, but to use the same data to help local programs to strengthen their programs on a continuous basis. LIFT has a thorough working knowledge of the Even Start legislation, U.S. Department of Education guidelines, and program requirements. More importantly, LIFT has the capacity to use this information to help Even Start program coordinators, adult education teachers, early childhood educators, parent educators, and others involve with Even Start to improve their effectiveness as they help families make dramatic changes in their lives.
